A PICTORIAL TOUR OF KUTZENHAUSEN, FRANCE

The present MUNICIPALITY OF KUTZENHAUSEN has like most families gone through many parents (as can been seen in this timeline) but it is still is the ancestral home of the descendents of Felix Stambach who have spread throughout the world.  It is hoped that as you view the photos so generously shared by Ray Grove, Jean Heintz and others each of  you also be moved to share some photos to add to this photo album.

The current municipality was formed in 1978 from the municipalities Agawang, Book, Kutzenhausen, Rommelsried, and the local part of the Maningruendel of the former independent municipality of Riding Book.

In 1993 Kutzenhausen, Gessertshausen and Usterbach made up the central administrative body of Gessertshausen.

On 1-Jan-1994 the municipality of Kutzenhausen became an independent municipality containing apx. 2372 inhabitants and an area of apx. 2372 hectars. Click here to view the Crest of Kutzenhausen.

Even though the area has gone through many changes since our ancestor Johann Jacob Stambaugh and family crossed set sail on the ship Robert and Alice bound for Pennsylvania we can still get a feel of the area from the restored home of our ancestor Felix Stambach.  As with most small towns, we probably still have cousins in the area and who knows but that through our efforts, we will be able to have contact from cousins worldwide.  Now wouldn't that be wonderful.
