to keep us going and growing
Our current project needing funding is the
Direct Male Descendants of Robert Fleming DNA testing project. DNA
is the only way we are going to be able to find more about the origin of our ancestor
Robert Fleming. Small amounts can quickly grow to the full amount needed.
DNA testing could also be done to help clear up the mystery of Felix
Stambach's ancestors and origin. Is it Switzerland, Germany or France?
Own a part of the project by sending a cash donation to:

Work Group Members can CLICK HERE!
TO OPEN DOOR INTO THE
FLEMING - STAMBACH HERITAGE CENTER
YOUR PLACE to SHARE'S
13,273 PAGES
where it is now really easy for all descendants to take a hands-on
role in the growing and illustrating of Felix
Stambach's family genealogy pages.

Would you would like to have a Work Group Member Account so you can also take a
hand's on role in growing the Felix Stambach's family tree?
If so,
Click here to send in your request
for your own Work Group Member Account after reading the rest of
this column.
Don't own
a computer?
You don't need to own one because this is a site which can be added to or
edited right from any computer to which you have access (as long as that
computer is hooked up to the internet) and your Work Group Member Account
is currently activated!
For instance, the public libraries have computers which are available to
all who have library cards.
By asking for and activating your Work Group Member you are pledging to
be a "contributing member of the work group" and not just a "looky loo" or
"harvester of information" you find here.
There will always be a need for people, such as yourself; who are willing
to add information, photos, etc for their families as well as the on-going
need for those who are willing to edit the pages to make sure the pattern
of the templates is being followed as well as help us help catch those
"slips of the eyes, fingers and brain" which cause cause errors in
spelling, sentence structure, etc.
Then, there's lots of pictures waiting to be used to decorate the pages
once we get all the genealogy pages from the old site moved to our Wiki
YOUR PLACE to SHARE.
When we all work together we will grow the most complete picture of Felix
Stambach's descendants as humanly possible.
Remember, today's beginning page count of family pages on Wiki YOUR
PLACE to SHARE is 13, 041 with many more to
be added! We're looking forward to yours!
Getting the itch to take part yet?
Hope so!

Got a suggestion for improving the
website, found something not working correctly, or be able to post
to the pages within YOUR PLACE to SHARE?

Lena Stambaugh of Pennsylvania
has been
identified but your help is still needed as per the e-mail below her photo

Hi,
Lena was my gg aunt on my father's side. I don't have her exact date of
birth but she and her siblings were born between 1873 and 1886. Her real
name was Helena and she married James Ritchey. Lena was not born in Penn.
She was born in Rushville/Beardstown, IL area but had close family in
Penn.
I assume that perhaps her picture was mailed to a family member there.
Lena's parents were Michael Stambaugh, born in Hanover, PA in abt 1850 and
her mother was Louisa Lashmet, born in Rushville, IL in abt 1850. They had
7
children. Frank, Henry Howard born 1873 or 1875??( my ggranfather), Lena,
James Everett, born 1880?, Roland Edgar, born 1883? and John, born 1886.
It is believed that Michael's parents were Peter Stambaugh and Susan
Strausbaugh both from Penn. I have searched and searched and can get no
further back than this. It has been brought to my attention that perhaps
Michael was a middle name and not his first. I have searched based on that
info but still nothing. The way I have Michael and Louisa's children
listed
are suppose to be in the order they were born according to the source who
is
Raymond Stambaugh, Michaels' grandson/ my great uncle who is now deceased.
I have more info if you feel there is a connection please let me know. I
am
really dead ended on the Stambaugh side of my tree. Thanks Anna
If anyone has further info please send e-mail to:
Anna;
Karen
Adams and
Shelley Cardiels

It is frustrating to see how many e-mail's sent to family members come back to as
